Mortenson, a prominent renewable energy constructor, faced the challenge of efficiently surveying the massive Edwards & Sanborn Solar and Energy Storage Project. Their traditional manual surveying methods were too slow and labor-intensive for installing roughly 400,000 piles. To scale their operations, they partnered with vendor Civ Robotics and adopted their CivDot technology.

The solution from Civ Robotics involved deploying the CivDot robotic system. This implementation, which was further refined with a new "pause at" feature based on Mortenson's feedback, dramatically increased productivity. A two-person crew eventually achieved a peak output of 300 points per hour, accelerating project timelines. The success led Mortenson to expand the use of CivDot across multiple other projects, resulting in significant cost savings and efficiency gains.
