Village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin Puts Their Workflow Online

The Village of Pleasant Prairie partnered with Cityworks to move its public works operations online. Covering 36 square miles, the village’s 25 full-time public works staff manage more than ten thousand assets and needed a user-friendly, GIS-integrated solution (Cityworks integrated with ArcGIS) to replace paper workflows and give crews reliable field access to asset and work-order information.

Cityworks helped the village build a crew-focused workflow using tablets with cellular access and cameras, the Inbox saved-searches and tabs, crew-based work-order assignment, service-request templates, multi-asset inspections, and blanket fleet work orders. The implementation eliminated paper copies, improved data capture and assignment flexibility, and cut work-order completion time in half within two weeks of training—demonstrating measurable operational gains enabled by Cityworks.
