Utah City Thinks Big With Cityworks AMS

The City of Herriman, Utah, faced limited IT resources and difficulty propagating Cityworks Desktop to additional departments. To overcome this, the city adopted Cityworks AMS with an on‑premise cloud hosting approach—supported by Azteca Systems—to extend GIS‑centric asset management capabilities beyond a single team and enable broader, browser‑based access for staff in the office and field.

Cityworks AMS, hosted on‑premise with Azteca Systems’ support, delivered a browser interface usable on tablets, simplified customization and training, and integrated with the city’s finance software via a Cityworks‑supported API. The deployment eliminated much of the usual trial‑and‑error, allowed rapid rollout to a much broader user base, gave managers real‑time visibility through Cityworks Inbox, and improved staff productivity with accurate, timely field data. Cityworks continues to be expanded to additional departments and emergency management planning.
