A Cityworks Case Study
St. Johns County needed a cost-effective way to modernize its Public Works operations and replace an outdated fleet management application. In October 2006 the County implemented Cityworks—using the Cityworks ELA—and faced the challenge of unifying multiple Public Works divisions, improving accuracy and efficiency, and adding financial tracking capabilities without a costly system replacement.
Cityworks delivered a single, unified system now used by three of the four Public Works divisions, enabling the County to avoid a full fleet-management overhaul and realize measurable cost savings. Cityworks also provided a performance-based budgeting tool that tracks costs by asset type and work order activity, improving financial management, cross-team adoption, and overall operational efficiency for St. Johns County.
