A Cityworks Case Study
The Village of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, a 36-square-mile community with a 25-person public works crew managing over 10,000 assets, needed to streamline its public asset management workflows and move off paper-based processes. They turned to Cityworks software (integrated with ArcGIS) to give crews better access to asset information in the field and improve work order turnaround.
Cityworks implemented customizable workflows, mobile access via tablets and laptops for morning assignment distribution, and tight GIS integration so supervisors could assign, track, and document work orders, inspections, and service requests. As a result, the Village of Pleasant Prairie cut work order completion time in half within two weeks of initial training, improving assignment flexibility, asset tracking, and overall operational efficiency.
