A Cityworks Case Study

Preview of the City of Dublin, Ohio Case Study

Dublin, Ohio Tops Annual List of Digital Cities Survey

The City of Dublin, Ohio needed to boost staff efficiency, better monitor aging infrastructure, and give residents and businesses easier access to information and services. To meet those goals the city implemented Cityworks (Server/AMS deployed in 2006, about 40 active users) and is piloting the Cityworks Freelance mobile solution with 15 staff involved in the prototype.

Cityworks’ GIS‑centric platform, APIs, and web services provided a centralized asset and work‑management system that lets staff track maintenance history, monitor work activities, and publish visual metrics. As a result, Dublin earned first place in the Center for Digital Government’s Digital Cities Survey (cities up to 75,000), improved operational awareness and citizen service, and expanded measurable Cityworks usage (40 Server/AMS users, a 15‑person Freelance pilot with plans to add 20 more).
