A Cityworks Case Study

Preview of the City of Columbia Case Study

Columbia, South Carolina, Maximizes ROI with Cityworks ELA

The City of Columbia, South Carolina, needed a more accurate, organized way to track millions of dollars of infrastructure and simplify maintenance reporting across multiple departments. To address that challenge the City of Columbia deployed Cityworks via an Enterprise License Agreement (ELA) in 2010 and upgraded to Cityworks Server AMS to provide GIS-centric asset and work management.

Cityworks implemented enterprise-wide mapping tools, work order tracking, robust querying and Excel export capabilities, and event-layer visualizations that made it easy for staff and managers to see workloads, locations, and adjacent assets in real time. As a result, Cityworks delivered significant ROI since the 2010 ELA, streamlined business processes, improved reporting and resource scheduling, increased user adoption across divisions, and produced measurable productivity gains for the city.
