Collier County Personalizes and Expands Cityworks to Meet Their AMS Needs

Collier County sought to standardize asset and work management across all departments and selected the Cityworks Asset Management System (AMS) as the foundation for that vision. Working with Woolpert to plan, design, configure, and deploy the enterprise-class Cityworks AMS (contracting began in 2014), the county went live in 2016 to support operation and maintenance of its potable water, reuse water, and wastewater systems.

Using Cityworks, Collier County personalized and automated workflows—replacing a 40‑click user-creation process with four permission buttons, adding color change notifications, department name displays, and incident-type identification—to reduce errors and speed routine tasks. The Cityworks implementation has standardized asset and work management countywide, enabled expansion into facilities and parks while lowering capital expense by having in-house staff complete later phases, and increased operational efficiency and staff ownership of the AMS.
