Case Study: West Valley City achieves streamlined permitting and regional collaboration with Cityworks

Cityworks Users Organize Regional Permit Management Day

The City of West Valley, Utah, wanted to advance smarter permitting, licensing and land-management practices and to share best practices across the Salt Lake City region. West Valley City has used the Cityworks PLL application (Cityworks) since 2008 to manage permits, planning, zoning, engineering applications and code enforcement, and organized Salt Lake City's first PLL (Permitting, Licensing, and Land) Day to bring practitioners and industry leaders together.

By implementing Cityworks PLL, West Valley City streamlined GIS-centric permitting workflows and enhanced users’ daily workflow for permit and land-management tasks. Cityworks enabled the city to host the June 19, 2013 PLL Day with strong regional attendance—fostering networking, knowledge sharing, and wider adoption of efficient permitting practices (the event was sponsored by Azteca Systems, Inc.).
