Cityworks Rapid Implementation Using the Local Government Solution in Beaverton, Oregon

The City of Beaverton faced low adoption of its legacy work-management system and a cumbersome workflow where users kept the map and work system open separately. As a long-time Esri client seeking a GIS-centric approach, Beaverton chose Cityworks and its Local Government Templates to streamline maintenance management and better align assets with their GIS.

Using Cityworks, Beaverton migrated assets into Esri’s Local Government Information Model, attended onsite Cityworks training, and configured the system internally with the Local Government Templates. The initial Cityworks configuration was ready for review within six weeks of purchase (three weeks after training), enabling near-immediate production use and an almost instant return on investment; the city now runs Traffic, Water, Sewer, and Stormwater in Cityworks and plans Streets and integrations with Granite XP and MicroPaver next.
