City of Troy, Michigan, Gains Improved Insight Into Contracting Process

The City of Troy, Michigan faced mounting infrastructure needs, reduced staff, and difficulty tracking costs for outsourced pavement maintenance and other transportation assets. To modernize workflows and improve cost tracking for contractor-led projects, the city implemented Cityworks Server AMS using the Contracts module from Cityworks.

Cityworks configured the Contracts module and associated workflows so field inspections generate work orders, cost items are added and approved, and SSRS reports authorize releases of funds for vendor invoicing. The result: faster invoicing, real-time expense tracking against budgets, and expanded use to parking lot resurfacing and sidewalk replacement. Since implementation the City of Troy, Michigan has tracked over 4,000 work orders and 7,000 cost activities and managed more than $11 million in repair work with Cityworks.
