Leading Children’s Organization Implements Data Collection System to Track Student Performance Nationwide

Children’s Defense Fund (CDF), a national child advocacy nonprofit, needed a better way to collect and manage data across its many programs and sites. Cityspan provided an integrated nationwide data collection and management system to support CDF’s Freedom Schools, Beat the Odds, and Young Advocate Leadership Training programs, including registration, attendance, and student assessment tracking.

Cityspan implemented a unified platform that consolidated data for more than 12,500 children across 28 states and 87 cities, with real-time visibility into 350 Freedom Schools. The system gave CDF and its partner agencies better monitoring, faster reporting for funders, more complete and accurate data, and stronger outcomes analysis while dramatically reducing the time required to collect and manage information.
