Data System Improves Participant Tracking, Program Management for Milwaukee’s Largest Youth Services Agency

Boys and Girls Clubs (BGC) of Greater Milwaukee, the nation’s largest BGC chapter, needed a better way to track participant attendance, manage program data, and organize detailed member information across a large network of clubs and staff. With more than 35,466 members and 4,500 daily participants, the organization needed a system that could improve accuracy, safety, and reporting while preserving years of historical data.

Cityspan created a data collection and management system with online registration, attendance tracking, printable membership cards, and a data warehouse integrated with SAP BusinessObjects Web Intelligence. The solution migrated more than 10 years of prior data, reduced the time needed for 700 employees and 300+ volunteers to collect and manage information, improved safety through real-time card scanning, and enabled automated reporting and better analysis of program performance and outcomes.
