Your Housing Group, formed by the 2012 merger of Harvest and Arena Housing, manages over 32,000 affordable homes across the North West of England. Faced with fragmented legacy IT (Novell/GroupWise, dispersed offices and patched systems) and a 2010 tender calling for a centralised, virtualised platform, the organisation needed a reliable, flexible ICT foundation to standardise processes and support next‑generation tenant services.

Working with JMC IT, Your Housing deployed a Citrix cloud platform (XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler SD‑WAN, Citrix Receiver) and migrated to Microsoft Exchange, consolidating 98 applications into a centralised environment and scaling from 700 to 1,200 users after the merger. The solution delivered always‑available access, faster provisioning (new operations commissioned in days), improved information sharing and customer response, and significant cost and energy savings through a smaller server footprint and reduced support overheads.
