Viskase optimises its entire IT system for the next decade with Citrix

Viskase, a global maker of cellulose and plastic casings with its European head office in Paris and more than 500 employees in France, needed to rationalise operating costs while supporting rapid growth (including a 2017 acquisition that doubled headcount) and adopt modern tools like teleworking and unified communications. The IT team required a secure, scalable solution to give on‑site and remote staff consistent access to business applications while keeping administration and compliance (GDPR) under control.

Viskase consolidated its European data centre around Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops and deployed Citrix ADC for secure remote access, thin clients (and Raspberry Pi trials) for cost‑effective endpoints, and integrated Skype/IP telephony for unified communications. The rollout, delivered with partner Anetys, reduced the Paris footprint and operating costs, enabled secure 24/7 remote access for an unlimited number of users, improved productivity and simplified administration while meeting security and compliance needs.
