Viña Santa Rita Improves Results by Unifying Its It Infrastructure and Strengthening Mobility

Viña Santa Rita, a historic Chilean premium wine producer with operations in more than 20 locations across Chile and Argentina and sales in 75+ countries, faced unreliable communications in remote vineyards and a costly, slow client‑server application model. The company needed immediate, consistent access to agricultural and corporate data so field teams could make timely decisions, but weak radio links and disparate workstations made updates, support and secure data delivery difficult.

In 2013 Viña Santa Rita deployed a Citrix virtual desktop and app delivery solution (XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler and Receiver) to centralize applications and support tablets, smartphones and notebooks. The environment now serves about 400 terminals, enables centralized updates and remote support, and provides reliable, low‑bandwidth access to up‑to‑date information — increasing flexibility, productivity, security and consistency across all sites.
