Tower Hamlets selects Citrix AppDNA to enable flexible working during Olympics

The London Borough of Tower Hamlets (LBTH), a 2012 Olympic host borough, needed to close one office and provide secure flexible working for 4,700 staff during the Games. To do this it had to migrate from Windows XP to Windows 7 and a Citrix XenDesktop/App‑V VDI environment, but more than 500 unique applications and an estimated 1,000+ man‑days of manual testing threatened to derail the summer 2012 deadline and exceed budget constraints.

LBTH selected Citrix AppDNA after a proof of concept to automate pre‑migration compatibility testing and perform intelligent remediation. Using AppDNA to rationalize and remediate applications accelerated the migration, reduced the risk of failed moves, enabled the new secure flexible working environment, and avoided the cost of hiring additional staff.
