Case Study: Eurofred achieves centralized IT, improved mobility and major cost savings with Citrix

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Eurofred Case Study

Through incorporating Citrix technology Eurofred is progressing its objective of providing maximum service quality to all its clients

Eurofred, a market-leading distributor of air‑conditioning and refrigeration equipment with large warehousing and a mobile sales and service force, faced fragmentation after rapid growth: heterogeneous PCs, browsers and software across many locations, scarce IT resources, limited bandwidth, and difficulty distributing and updating applications while keeping costs low. The company needed a centralized, secure and flexible platform to unify access to data and support mobile and remote users without expanding IT headcount.

Eurofred implemented Citrix technologies over time—starting with MetaFrame/XenApp (ICA) to create a private cloud, then NetScaler for security and load balancing, CloudBridge/SD‑WAN for WAN optimization, XenMobile for MDM/MAM, and XenServer for virtualization. The result was centralized and homogenized infrastructure, simplified software distribution and updates, doubled communication performance for remote users, faster branch and mobile rollouts, improved productivity (notably faster sales reporting), strong mobility and teleworking capabilities, and significant cost savings while supporting rapid user growth.
