Teleperformance, a global leader in customer experience management with over 7,000 staff across 18 contact centres in the UK and South Africa, faced capacity constraints after rapid UK growth when the local utility could not supply the additional power needed for expansion. To avoid delays while preserving service levels, the company explored virtual desktop solutions to meet performance requirements and reduce overall energy consumption.

Working with BT Engage IT, Teleperformance implemented a Citrix XenDesktop environment with Citrix Receiver and Wyse thin clients to deliver virtualised desktops and applications. The solution cut maintenance costs by a third, achieved ROI in 18 months, increased agent productivity (about 15% more calls per day), reduced energy use and workplace noise, simplified provisioning and training, and improved business continuity—helping meet carbon‑reduction targets and earn industry recognition.
