SUSA achieves greater efficiency and flexibility by centralising IT management

SUSA, an Italian logistics and distribution company with headquarters and regional offices nationwide, faced an outdated IT infrastructure that could not keep up with business growth. The company needed centralized management of desktops and peripherals (printers, scanners, handhelds), faster maintenance and recovery, and tighter control over security and software licensing.

SUSA upgraded its virtual environment using Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop and Praim thin/zero clients with ThinMan, enabling centralized control, improved security via Citrix Universal Profile Manager, and optimized HDX data flow for multi‑platform access. As a result, software recovery times fell from three days to about two hours (hardware recovery to one day), license and software uniformity improved, remote IT support can configure terminals in real time, and centralized backups prevent data loss.
