Case Study: Aloysius Stichting achieves secure file sharing and greater educator mobility with Citrix ShareFile

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Aloysius Stichting Case Study

Special needs educators share resources and expertise with Citrix ShareFile

Aloysius Stichting is a network of 60 Dutch primary and secondary special‑needs schools serving students aged 4–23. As part of a four‑year program to modernize teaching and IT (moving to Macs, iPads and virtual Windows desktops), the organization needed a secure, IT‑approved file sync-and-share solution because teachers were relying on consumer tools like Dropbox that posed significant security risks.

Aloysius implemented Citrix ShareFile (integrated with Citrix XenDesktop/XenApp and XenMobile) to give educators secure access to files on any device; within six months more than half of staff were using it. The rollout centralized data in an Amsterdam datacenter and added encryption, containerization and remote‑wipe capabilities, enabling flexible BYOD use, improved productivity from anywhere, and stronger data security while supporting ongoing educational innovation.
