KT, South Korea’s leading telecom operator with about 45,000 employees, wanted to boost innovation by enabling anytime, anywhere collaboration while keeping data secure and simplifying IT management. KT deployed Citrix XenDesktop virtualization, Citrix Receiver for iOS and XenMobile to deliver personalized virtual desktops, secure mobile access (including iPads for ~32,000 remote employees) and high‑quality videoconferencing. The rollout improved employee access and productivity, cut desktop management complexity and saved more than $100,000 a year, and helped KT rapidly launch its high‑performance, cost‑efficient uCloud public cloud service.
