Shorenstein Uses Citrix to Say Yes to BYOD

Shorenstein Properties, a San Francisco–based real estate investment firm founded in 1924, needed to move from a BlackBerry-only environment to a secure BYOD program that supported iOS and Android while preserving strict control over corporate data. With a small IT team, their priorities were security, device visibility and control, and a solution that minimized ongoing administrative effort as they expanded device support.

Shorenstein selected Citrix XenMobile MDM for its easy administration, Active Directory integration, strong Android controls and secure gateway capabilities. The deployment enabled a rapid, low-effort BYOD rollout, seamless carrier-driven migrations that were completed in days instead of months, and a drop in help-desk ticket resolution from over 30 minutes to 1–2 minutes, while giving IT clear visibility into devices accessing the network.
