ANHAM FZCO is a logistics and project-management firm operating in underdeveloped and conflict zones from offices in Dubai and Virginia. For its remote Afghanistan operations the company faced very high-cost, high-latency satellite links that made running bandwidth‑heavy applications impractical, and it needed to meet stricter NIST SP 800-171/DoD security requirements to retain government contracts.

Working with partner Diyar, ANHAM deployed Citrix Cloud services—XenApp/XenDesktop and NetScaler—on Microsoft Azure to deliver virtualized applications securely and at scale. The solution cut bandwidth usage and deployment time, enabled a flexible OPEX model for rapid project mobilization, helped meet DoD security controls, and delivered estimated savings of about $100,000 per site per year.
