Sedgman Limited, a global leader in mineral processing and infrastructure engineering, needed to enable a growing mobile workforce of corporate and BYOD iPhones, iPads and Androids while migrating from Exchange 2003 to 2010. IT was manually applying profiles to devices and required a solution that offered simple user enrollment, role‑based management via Active Directory, policy enforcement and secure content distribution.

Sedgman chose Citrix XenMobile MDM for its Mobile DLP, AD integration, Secure Mobile Gateway and strong pre‑sales support, plus easy self‑enrollment. The rollout simplified provisioning and policy enforcement, blocked non‑compliant devices, and enabled secure content delivery; results included secure iOS/Android deployment during the BlackBerry transition, help‑desk ticket time cut from ~30 minutes to 1–2 minutes, and better visibility into who is connecting — providing a foundation for BYOD and future mobile app rollouts.
