Sara Insurance virtualizes core applications with Citrix

Sara Insurance (Sara Assicurazioni), an Italian insurer with about 650 employees and a nationwide network of agencies and sub-agencies, needed to deliver core business applications securely and dynamically to employees, agents, consultants and external experts. The challenge was to provide fast, flexible, mobile access to sales, claims and specialist workflows while protecting data and simplifying administration across a dispersed user base.

By deploying Citrix XenApp and Citrix Access Gateway to virtualize and centralize applications, Sara enabled secure remote access for roughly 2,000 users, improved remote support, and increased infrastructure reliability. The rollout sped up claims handling and policy issuance, enhanced customer service and security, and reduced operating and maintenance costs.
