Case Study: Rohde & Schwarz achieves secure, highly available global application delivery with Citrix

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Rohde & Schwarz Case Study

Rohde & Schwarz supports digital business transformation with Citrix networking

Rohde & Schwarz, a Munich‑based high‑tech company with 12,000 employees and a global sales and service network, needed to reliably deliver a growing portfolio of digital services to employees, customers and partners. Its GLORIS customer portal had expanded to 4,500 registered companies, more than 20 services and over 150,000 documents, but depended on many heterogeneous systems that had to be shielded from external threats while remaining highly available and easy to manage.

The company implemented a Citrix‑based application delivery stack—Citrix ADC as a reverse proxy and load balancer, Citrix Web App Firewall, Citrix Gateway for SAML single sign‑on, and Citrix Application Delivery Management for automation. Deployed across regional hubs (12 SDX appliances and ~50 virtual instances), the solution consolidated networking, improved availability and performance (uncached page loads under three seconds in core markets), hardened web apps against attacks, and cut operational effort via automated certificate and patch management.
