Race car manufacturer enables transatlantic collaboration with Citrix technology

Dallara Automobili, the Italian race car manufacturer founded in 1972, operates globally (about 380 employees) and opened an engineering center near Indianapolis in 2012 to support its large U.S. business. The company needed a way for engineers in Italy and Indiana to collaborate in real time on CAD designs and access proprietary data securely as if they were looking at the same screen despite the transatlantic distance.

Working with Sinthera, Dallara deployed a Citrix-based infrastructure—including XenServer, XenDesktop, XenApp, CloudBridge, NetScaler and XenMobile—to virtualize workstations, reduce latency and secure mobile access for roughly 120 users in Italy and 30 in the U.S. The result was near-real-time CAD access and tighter IP protection, reduced travel and smoother cross‑site collaboration, with ongoing expansion of mobile deployments.
