A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Pulmuone Case Study

Pulmuone improves security and creates a mobile work environment with XenDesktop

Pulmuone, a Seoul-based food manufacturer known for brands like Pulmuone and Saeng-ga-deuck, needed to protect confidential R&D and sales information while giving its sales force the flexibility to work remotely on their own devices. The company faced a dilemma: tighten controls to secure proprietary data stored on standalone desktops and laptops, or allow employees the freedom to work on mobile devices and risk security breaches.

Pulmuone implemented Citrix XenDesktop Enterprise to deliver personalized virtual desktops (including Microsoft Office and its ERP) to more than 60 R&D and 100 sales users, centralizing data behind the corporate firewall so nothing is saved on local devices. The solution strengthened security, simplified IT administration, enabled a tablet rollout and mobile workstyles, and increased sales productivity—work that Pulmuone plans to expand across the organization.
