Montperrin Hospital is a specialist psychiatric hospital in Aix‑en‑Provence, France, operating 42 medical facilities with 1,300 staff and more than 25,000 patients a year. Facing a shift to mobile working and the need for new services, the IT team needed a cost‑effective way to give clinicians secure, remote access to clinical and business applications and data across the region.

The hospital deployed Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop to centralize applications in the data center and Citrix NetScaler for secure on‑ and off‑site access. Staff can now access patient records and imaging from any device, improving the user experience and supporting accurate diagnoses, while bandwidth for remote sites fell by up to 60% and application updates, access control and regulatory requirements became easier to manage.
