Case Study: Miami Children's Hospital achieves global telehealth access and improved patient outcomes with Citrix

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Miami Children’s Hospital Case Study

Miami Children’s Hospital enables global telehealth with cloud technology

Miami Children’s Hospital, a nationally recognized pediatric center, faced a critical challenge: getting the right patient information and specialist expertise to the right clinicians at the right time—locally and around the world. Slow, fragmented access to labs, imaging and surgical data hindered care and could jeopardize outcomes, while limited access to pediatric subspecialists constrained treatment for children in remote locations.

To address this, MCH built a Citrix-powered telehealth platform that delivers secure virtual desktops and apps (including Cerner EMRs) to any device, plus mobile device management and high-definition video collaboration. The platform lets clinicians access and share imaging, records and live consults instantly, improving diagnostic accuracy, care coordination and patient outcomes, expanding access to specialty care globally, and enabling ongoing innovation in telehealth.
