Mackmyra Whisky, Sweden’s leading single‑malt distillery, was expanding across Europe and needed secure, flexible access to business applications from any location. Its legacy approach—buying servers and relying on a partner for hosting and frequent consultant support—was costly, limited users to company laptops and required expensive VPN connectivity between sites.

Wycore deployed a fully managed Citrix XenApp virtual desktop accessed via Citrix Receiver, while Mackmyra retains simple user administration through an admin console. The solution eliminated new server purchases, replaced costly VPNs with broadband, extended laptop life, enabled device freedom and graphics work, and cut roughly SEK 200,000 (~$22,000) a year in consultant fees, freeing funds for CRM upgrades and customer services.
