Leading Law Firm Enables Mobile Productivity While Maintaining Control with Citrix XenMobile MDM

Burr & Forman LLP, a century-old full-service law firm with nearly 250 attorneys across the Southeast, faced a shift from corporate BlackBerrys to user-owned iPhones and iPads. CIO David Michel and Telecommunications Administrator David Landrum needed an MDM solution that preserved productivity and a seamless user experience, supported role-based app deployment, integrated with Active Directory, and gave visibility and control over unmanaged devices for compliance and overtime tracking.

They selected Citrix XenMobile MDM with partner Vox Mobile for its ease of use, LDAP integration, and security features (including a Secure Mobile Gateway and Mobile Security Intelligence). The deployment created a secure, highly available, app-oriented mobile infrastructure: policies and controls (guest WiFi, device reimbursement rules, roaming limits) brought rogue devices under management, enabled rollout and version control of about 75 apps, and improved device visibility, user productivity, and compliance.
