Knight Transportation Selects Citrix for Remote Availability

Knight Transportation, a Phoenix-based provider of truckload and logistics services with a nationwide network of service centers, needed to replace its legacy BlackBerry Enterprise Server to support rising employee demand for iOS and Android devices and to enable a BYOD policy. The MIS team sought a solution that could enforce consistent security policies across multiple mobile OSs, eliminate BlackBerry outages, and provide stable remote access for sales and other off-site employees.

After evaluating several vendors, Knight deployed Citrix XenMobile MDM, which delivered device-, app-, network- and data-layer security, a unified web console for easy administration, and strong mobile VPN and location capabilities. The rollout was smooth and now supports the remote salesforce and about 300 BYOD users (with more anticipated), providing reliable off-site access to CRM, email and voicemail, zero service interruptions, simplified management, and audit features to enforce corporate compliance.
