Helping Barnardo’s support vulnerable children

Barnardo’s, the UK’s largest children’s charity with a 150-year history, employs over 8,000 staff and 20,000 volunteers and supported 272,000 children last year. Facing constant demand and a largely mobile workforce, the charity needed to become more digital—enabling hot-desking, remote access, secure information sharing, and replacing paper processes to improve productivity and protect confidential data.

Barnardo’s deployed Citrix solutions (XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, XenMobile, ShareFile) and Custom Workflows to enable full desktop and app access, mobile data capture, device enrollment with separation of personal and corporate data, and time-limited secure file sharing. The changes put over 2,900 users on mobile devices, eliminated retyping and unnecessary travel, strengthened data security, reduced admin costs, and helped the charity support more vulnerable children more effectively.
