Groupama Rhône-Alpes Auvergne uses SD-WAN solution for its current and future networks

Groupama Rhône‑Alpes Auvergne is a regional mutual insurance group with 2,300 employees across 340 agencies that needed more bandwidth for video and SaaS, wanted to replace ageing equipment, improve network service quality and better manage telecom costs. After 18 months of evaluation, a formal tender and a two‑month proof of concept with Anetys and Citrix, the group selected Citrix SD‑WAN to meet its current and future networking needs.

The Citrix SD‑WAN appliances were rapidly deployed at each branch and centrally managed from Lyon, virtualizing transport across MPLS, internet and 4G with automatic failover and traffic steering—without replacing branch hardware or requiring operator visits. By summer 2019 all sites had migrated, achieving 60–80 Mbps connections using public internet/4G while avoiding an estimated 80% increase in MPLS costs, regaining control of the WAN and improving agility for relocations and growth.
