Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S is a long‑established Danish shipping company with hundreds of shore staff, ~800 seafaring employees and offices worldwide. When staff in its Singapore office had to dial in to an AS/400 system, access was slow and cumbersome, so NORDEN needed a simpler, more efficient way for geographically dispersed employees to reach its business‑critical shipping systems.

NORDEN worked with Citrix partner Lean‑On to deploy Citrix XenApp and Branch Repeater (CloudBridge) to publish desktops and optimize WAN traffic. The solution delivered secure, consistent remote access and a better user experience, enabled a 2012 upgrade to XenApp 6.5 and thin clients, standardized IMOS across users, cut desktop maintenance costs and scaled easily as NORDEN expanded to new offices and mobile users.
