CZ Zorgverzekeraar highly values the work-life balance for employees

CZ Zorgverzekeraar, one of the Netherlands’ largest non‑profit health insurers with over 3,000 employees serving 3.3 million insured, needed to simplify desktop management, reduce time spent on OS and antivirus maintenance, replace aging PCs and enable secure, consistent teleworking. The goal was a fully virtualized desktop experience that would improve performance and availability for office and remote workers.

CZ upgraded to Windows Server 2008 and the latest Citrix XenApp, added EdgeSight monitoring, high‑availability Access Gateways and RES PowerFuse, and rolled out 3,030 Wyse thin clients publishing a virtual desktop with 150+ applications. The project cut desktop administration effort (about six months’ worth of maintenance saved), sped logins and app performance, supported 150 full‑time teleworkers plus 1,500 ad‑hoc remote users, reduced energy use and lowered IT costs while improving productivity and work–life balance.
