MittelstandsCLOUD, a managed‑cloud platform created by four German IT firms (including Janz IT), helps medium‑sized companies that lack large in‑house IT teams get flexible, secure and cost‑transparent IT services. Customers demanded on‑demand virtual desktops, servers and complete infrastructures with high availability, strong data protection in German datacenters, and simpler management without needing specialized staff.

MittelstandsCLOUD built its service on Citrix XenServer and XenDesktop and adopted Citrix CloudPlatform (Apache CloudStack) for orchestration. Features such as XenMotion live migration, storage tiering, VM templates and integrated billing enable automated, fast provisioning and real‑time usage billing—resulting in quicker deployments, fewer manual tasks, improved uptime and greater transparency and mobility for customers.
