Citrix Netscaler SD WAN Helps Mafatlal Build a Reliable Network While Doubling Bandwidth Capacity

Mafatlal Industries Ltd., a century-old textile manufacturer with production sites across India, was centralizing its IT systems and running a company-wide ERP, making reliable network connectivity critical to operations. With a single 10 Mbps MPLS link, the company needed redundancy to avoid costly outages but found a secondary MPLS line prohibitively expensive and underutilized.

Mafatlal implemented Citrix NetScaler SD-WAN (Jan–May 2017) to use an existing internet link as an active backup and to aggregate bandwidth with the primary MPLS, effectively doubling capacity to 20 Mbps. The SD-WAN deployment improved ERP and video-conferencing performance, delivered stronger uptime, better manageability and visibility, and yielded 30–40% cost savings versus a secondary MPLS line.
