Case Study: The Fred Hollows Foundation spends more time saving patients’ eyesight with Citrix ShareFile

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the The Fred Hollows Foundation Case Study

Citrix helps Australian non-profit free doctors to spend more time saving patients’ eyesight

The Fred Hollows Foundation, one of Australia’s largest charities, works in more than 25 countries to prevent and treat avoidable blindness. Staff operate in challenging, often remote environments with intermittent internet, and slow, unreliable file-sharing systems were diverting time and resources from core patient care—so the foundation needed easy, secure file access and collaboration, and a way to eliminate onsite infrastructure.

The foundation upgraded to Citrix ShareFile Platinum (including Citrix Podio) and moved to Citrix managed storage zones, giving a cloud‑based, centrally managed platform with Office 365 integration. The change automated workflows, improved access to documents in remote locations, reduced infrastructure and maintenance costs, and increased staff mobility and productivity—letting teams spend more time on projects and patient care.
