Citrix Enables Efficient Collaboration at AB InBev

Anheuser‑Busch InBev, the world’s largest brewer with over 200,000 employees in more than 50 countries, needed to modernize a fragmented, aging global telephony platform. Idle and unreliable hardware, growing costs from thousands of daily conference calls, and a lack of mobile-first collaboration tools made a unified communications overhaul essential.

AB InBev implemented Microsoft Skype for Business and used its existing Citrix virtual delivery infrastructure to centralize the Skype client, improving security, consistency and cross‑platform support. The switch to headsets and softphones cut conference bridge costs, scaled to 40,000+ Skype users by 2017, sped deployment of resources, and positioned the company to move unified communications to the cloud while retaining Citrix-enabled control and security.
