Timtraco Ltd. is a Hong Kong–based designer and manufacturer of ladies’ handbags with about 50 employees, design teams in Hong Kong and factories in China. As executives travel frequently and needed reliable access to a new MRP system and other corporate applications, the company found firewall VPNs slow, unstable and insecure—especially over inconsistent public networks and low-bandwidth links.

Timtraco implemented Citrix XenDesktop, XenApp and Access Gateway (deployed by partner Ingram Micro in about two weeks), enabling secure, centralized access from Android/iOS devices, MacBooks and Windows notebooks without storing data on endpoints. The solution improved performance and user experience (with Branch Repeater for heavy CAD/CAM work), simplified application deployment and backups, delivered single sign-on security, and boosted mobile-user productivity by an estimated 50%.
