A Citrix Case Study
ChanceLight Behavioral Health & Education, a leading U.S. provider of alternative and special education serving 12,000 students across 260 districts in 23 states, needed a way to deliver targeted learning and support wherever students are despite restrictive public-school computing environments. The challenge was to provide consistent, accessible services and engaging instruction on any device and network so students who couldn’t attend in person or struggled in traditional settings could still succeed.
Using Citrix desktop and application virtualization (XenDesktop, XenApp), secure file sharing (ShareFile), video conferencing (GoToMeeting/HDFaces), social collaboration (Podio) and Citrix Receiver, ChanceLight built a private-cloud collaborative learning platform that students and teachers can access in two clicks from any device. The result is cost-effective, on-demand delivery of rich multimedia lessons and seamless teacher–student collaboration, reduced training overhead, stronger student engagement and measurable outcomes (including improved confidence and graduations), with the platform now being expanded across the organization.
