Case Study: Cetelem Slovakia achieves rapid, secure centralized application deployment and up to 50% faster response times with Citrix

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Cetelem Slovakia Case Study

Cetelem uses Citrix to deploy its applications in different regions

Cetelem, a BNP Paribas subsidiary and the leading consumer credit provider in continental Europe operating in 25 countries, needed to give commercial staff across more than 80 branch sites the same desktop, messaging and business web applications available at headquarters despite very limited branch bandwidth (about 1.6 Mb average). The challenge was to deliver consistent performance, security and manageability without installing or storing data locally.

Cetelem deployed a Citrix architecture with thin clients accessing centralized applications on 88 HPE blade servers via Citrix Presentation Server, with design and implementation support from Citrix Consulting Services. The result was faster response times (tests showed up to 50% improvement), simpler management and stronger security/DR (no local data, faster recovery), and much quicker application rollout—one week for 1,000 users versus a month—allowing deployment across 15 countries.
