Carlock, Copeland & Stair is a civil trial law firm with 85 attorneys across Atlanta and Charleston whose lawyers travel frequently and use a mix of laptops, iPads and Android tablets. The firm needed a way to enable secure, any-device access and sharing of highly confidential client files without entrusting data location or control to a third‑party cloud provider, especially given HIPAA and other confidentiality concerns.

Building on its XenDesktop virtualization, the firm deployed Citrix ShareFile on servers assigned to them to create a private‑cloud file sync and sharing solution. The result was secure, auditable client folders with view‑only options, offline sync and BYOD support, and centralized key control—delivering faster, more efficient client service while reducing paper, postage and duplication costs.
