CAPIO Uses Mobile Devices with High Security in the Medical Field

Capio Proximity Care, part of the Capio group with over 11,000 employees across five European countries, operates 72 health centers in Sweden across varied local IT environments. The organization needed a standardized, highly secure mobile solution so business managers could access financial and operational information anytime, regardless of the local infrastructure.

Working with consultant Xenit, Capio rolled out iPads with Citrix WorxHome, Citrix ShareFile and Citrix XenMobile after a successful 16-person pilot. The centralized, encrypted solution enabled fast device provisioning, secure access to Windows, web and iPad apps, and remote lock/track/wipe for lost devices. As a result, managers access reports and core systems on the go, administrative overhead has fallen, and Capio is now exploring secure clinical uses for tablets.
