Case Study: Byblos Bank achieves rapid, secure branch digital transformation with Citrix

A Citrix Case Study

Preview of the Byblos Bank Case Study

Byblos Bank selects Citrix to drive digital transformation

Byblos Bank, one of Lebanon’s leading banks with an 80–87 branch network, sought to become more flexible, mobile and customer‑centric while standardizing operations. The bank needed to digitize processes, enable customer self‑service, and overhaul its desktop estate so that all users would run the same image, receive rapid updates, and be managed remotely to support staff mobility across branches.

Byblos deployed Citrix (NetScaler, XenApp and XenDesktop) virtual desktops on thin clients for about 1,000 users across its branches. The solution simplified management, slashed support costs, improved security (enabling rapid patching after a ransomware incident), cut helpdesk calls by ~90%, and let staff be up and running at any branch within minutes; the bank is now expanding the approach and exploring mobile approvals for even greater agility.
