Bet365, a leading e-gaming company, needed to keep its high-traffic, time-sensitive betting website fast and reliable while handling tens of millions of transactions per day and thousands of changes per second. Managing database load, maintaining low latency, and supporting failover during peaks and maintenance had become increasingly complex, prompting the company to work with Citrix and Citrix NetScaler ADC.

Citrix implemented NetScaler DataStream to intelligently balance and offload SQL traffic, automate reactive load balancing, and support high availability and failover on commodity hardware. The result reduced server-side connections from about 2,000 to 100, freed up 50% of DBAs’ time, and improved website performance, stability, and scalability without adding latency.
