A Citrix Case Study
dwp | suters, a Sydney‑based architecture and interior design firm with teams across 15 locations in Australia, Asia and the Middle East, was struggling to share and synchronize massive Autodesk Revit project files. Daily synchronization issues caused hours of lost productivity, occasional days of lost work, and prompted consideration of a AUS$280,000 workstation upgrade to try to alleviate CAD performance problems.
Working with Regional IT, dwp | suters implemented a Citrix‑based Desktops‑as‑a‑Service solution (Citrix XenApp and XenServer with HDX) to centralize Revit in the cloud, secure data, and provide high‑definition access from any device. The result: the costly hardware upgrade was avoided, accidental data loss and daily sync headaches were eliminated, IT administrative burden fell, labor costs were reduced, and the firm can now collaborate seamlessly across offices and pursue much larger, more ambitious projects.
